## 1. What is a Workflow?

A **Workflow** connects the **Agent** with a **Path** to perform actions.

It is used when the agent needs to:

- fetch data
- save data
- call an API
- perform system actions

Workflows send information from the **Agent to the Path** and return the result back to the **Agent**.

**Example:**

In a doctor appointment use case:

- the agent sends the user request to a workflow
- the workflow triggers a path
- the path fetches doctor details
- the result is returned to the agent

### 2. How Workflows Work

A workflow sends data from the **Agent to the Path** using **Input Attributes**.

The **Path** performs the required action and sends the result back to the **Agent** using **Output Attributes**.
